Here’s an article that ran in the Athens News. I’m actually quite pleased with it, since it doesn’t contain the usual corporate media filters. For example, the writer actually lists my credentials accurately. For 20 years I was only referred to as an “activist” in the Columbus Dispatch, usually no mention that I have a job as a fulltime college professor. When the writer did refer to my teaching, they left me at the lowly rank of instructor, but that’s OK. I’ve never seen any references to my investigative reporting and award-winning articles before.

OK, after you read the article, answer this question. Is this type of direct coverage too bold for my campaign? Or for American politics at this point in history?

Personally I prefer frankness, but what do you think?

Frankness is great, especially if you are referring to “distortion-free truth.” Steven Colbert had it right when he said that we are being force-fed “truthiness” by the corporate media.

Bob is putting out his views every day. Let’s hear some noise, people!

OK, so you got me to stop being a “lurker” and start writing something.

Yeah, I was surprised to read that Athens article with Bob’s views totally unfiltered. You only see that on his FreePress.org website or the left wing blogosphere.

I think the house is starting to cave in on Bush and his cronies. Of course, there is always the “October Surprise,” but we have to vaccinate the public to extect that sort of set-up.

Keep up the straight talk, Bob!

I don’t expect anything less from Dr. Fitrakis!

I believe you have the integrity and the fortitude to root out the needed objectivity in our current political arena.

Wasn’t it Bush 41 GHWB that took over the CIA when his predecessor refused to use lies against the americam people? To this day, the propaganda machine rolls on.

If anyone can stop it, it is Dr. Fitrakis and his ability face up to the facts and stand up for what is real.

I like it when articles treat third party candidates with the same frankness and equality they give the two major candidates.

However, I still think the issue of voter fraud will only resonate with a small percentage of Ohioans. Bob needs to discuss issues affecting jobs and wages if he wants to “be a threat.”

    Too bold? No. Refreshing? YES.

Maybe we should begin using the “New Priorities” listed on the OhioGreens
home page as our focus for this election.

These are the issues that are critical for turning Ohio around in 2006!
